| Unborn infants learn inside the womb. They remember experiences that have a strong impact on them or that have been repeated often. For instance, newborn infants remember and recognize their parents’ voices and will orient themselves consistently to the sound of these voices in the birthing room. They will pay no attention to unfamiliar voices. Newborn babies will choose to listen to their own mothers’ recorded voices reading a familial story, whereas they do not chose an unfamiliar voice reading the same story. Emotional bonding between mothers and their babies occur before birth. One way that bonding takes place is through the many hormones that are released into the bloodstream inside the mother when she experiences various feeling. Babies have a natural responsiveness to music that is pleasurable for them. Singing and listening to music are ways to develop this bond with your child. Frequent repetition of the same songs or listening material is essential to maximum development. read more... |

| "Music brings an expansion into the soul, power and might into the spirit, tenderness and warmth into the heart and light and freedom into the mind.”
( Peter Deunov) |
| “As prenatal classes today are an integral part of prebirth parenting, so music will be in the future.” … (Thomas Verny) |
| “Your baby learns language in stages. From birth he receives information about language by hearing people make sounds and watching how they communicate with one another. At first he is most interested in the pitch and level of your voice. … By 4 months he’ll begin noticing not only the way you talk but the individual sounds you make.”
(Steven P. Shelov and Robert E. Hannemann) |
